The Marshall County Athletic Foundation has announced its Class of 2016 Hall of Fame inductees.

This year's class includes Allan Hatcher, who led the Marshals basketball team to four regional titles and one state semifinal appearance in six seasons at Marshall County. Hatcher's 1989 state semifinal team is also being inducted. The team finished 29-6, falling to Pleasure Ridge Park in the state semifinals.

Also being inducted this year are basketball stars John Solomon, Terry Birdsong, Jim Griffy and Rechelle Cadwell Turner.

Solomon played in the mid-to-late 1980s, scoring more than 1,500 points. He's fourth on Marshall County's career scoring list. Birdsong played from 1983-1987 and still holds the record for most rebounds in a game with 20. He's eighth on Marshall County's career scoring list with 1,328 points.

Griffy played in the late 1960s at Benton High School. He scored over 1,000 points for his career and was named the 1st Region Player of the Year in 1969. Turner played for the Lady Marshals from 1987-1991, scoring 1,950 points. She's third on the Marshals scoring list.

James Burnett Holland is being inducted as a contributor. He was voted the Marshals Number One Fan in 1977.

The induction ceremony will take place Thursday, Sept. 1.
