On Monday, Nov. 3 at 11am at Graves County High School, senior Emily Whitnell will sign to play golf for Freed-Hardeman University. Whitnell has been a five year member of the Graves County Eagles golf program participating in the KHSAA state golf tournament the past three years.

Whitnell has been coached for the past two seasons by her father, Chuck Whitnell, and has consistently been the top scorer for the Lady Eagles program. Whitnell has also been a multiple year letter winner in tennis and basketball making her one of the most decorated athletes at Graves County High School. Emily’s parents are Chuck and Binkie Whitnell of Mayfield, KY.

“In signing Emily, Freed Hardeman is getting the truest definition of a student athlete,” said Khristain Elliott, Athletic Director at Graves County High School. “Emily shows leadership not only in sports but in the classroom and in our community. We are very proud of her accomplishments and the way she has represented our school.”
