"We are very proud of Heath," said GCHS head football coach Lance Gregory. "He has worked very hard to put himself in a position to have the opportunity to play college football. He is a great young man, student, and athlete. We are excited for Heath and his family. Western is getting a great football player, but an even better young man."
The 6-3, 250-pound Wiggins chose WKU over Ball State, Austin Peay, Eastern Michigan and Murray State.
Wiggins played in all 13 games for Graves County last season. He made 89 tackles, caught an interception and recovered a fumble. He also rushed for a 13-yard touchdown.
