McCracken County graduate Luke Seed announced on Wednesday that he has committed to the University of Louisville on a baseball scholarship.

Seed, a left handed pitcher, was the epitome of dominance in his junior season with the Mustangs in 2017. Seed had a 9-1 record with a 0.60 ERA and 101 strikeouts over 57.2 innings pitched.

Unfortunately, Seed had to miss his senior season due to an elbow injury. After successful Tommy John surgery, Seed went to John A. Logan where he would have a highly successful freshman season.

Seed appeared in 13 games for the Vols last season, compiling 102 strikeouts over 53.1 innings pitched and a 5-1 record.

Seed commits to one of the mainstay programs in college baseball over the last decade. The Cardinals made it to the College World Series semifinals earlier this year.
