Graves County High School athletic director Khristain Elliott has announced the hiring of Shea Dukek as the school’s new volleyball coach.

Dukek started her volleyball career in 2005 as an eighth grader at Marshall County. Since there was no middle school team at the time, she moved up to the high school level where she started varsity for the next five years.

After graduating from high school in 2009, she was awarded a full-ride scholarship to Bethel University, where she started all four years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management there.

Since graduating from Bethel in 2013, she has given private and team lessons in western Kentucky and also has coached one season of club volleyball for the Paducah Jaguars. She now is pursuing alternative certification to teach special education.
