The search is on for a new girls basketball coach at Marshall County High School.

Martin Clapp resigned on Wednesday, after just one season as head coach. The Lady Marshals finished 15-14 last season, ending the year with a 61-40 loss to Calloway County in the 4th district semifinals.

“We respect Coach Clapp’s decision and thank him for his energy and commitment to our girls basketball program over the past year,” Marshall County Athletics Director Mike Johnson said. “We wish Martin and his family all the best in the future.”

The Lady Marshals expect to return four of five starters next season.
