The Phoenix Suns have selected 18-year-old shooting guard Devin Booker with the 13th pick in the NBA draft.

The 6-foot-6 Booker came off the bench for the national champion Wildcats, averaging 10 points per game. The youngest player in the draft class, Booker shot 47 percent from the field in his one season at Kentucky, 41 percent from 3-point range, 83 percent from the free throw line.

Booker also was SEC sixth man of the year. He also was second-team all-SEC.

The selection gives the Suns a true shooting guard to play behind their anticipated point guard duo of Eric Bledsoe and Brandan Wright. Booker joins fellow former Kentucky players Bledsoe and Archie Goodwin on the Phoenix roster.
