Fulton trailed 3-2 in the bottom of
the seventh inning when O’Neil Burgos doubled on a 3-1
count, scoring two runs.
Ryan Middleton got the win
for the Railroaders. He went one inning, allowing one run on
three hits and walking one. Ben Kowalski threw two innings
in relief out of the bullpen. Kowalski recorded the last six
outs to earn the save for Fulton.
Mitch Turner took the loss for Paducah. He went one-third of an inning, allowing four runs on two hits.
Tanner Stinnett started the game for the Railroaders. He allowed six hits and two runs over six innings, striking out 11. Jordan Fowler started the game for Paducah. He went four innings, allowing no runs on zero hits, striking out seven and walking none.
The Chiefs hit three home runs on the day. Pierce Mitchum went yard in the fifth inning. Lofton Pigg had a four bagger in the ninth inning. Bryson Bloomer put one out in the first inning.
Davis Lott, Burgos, Britt Netterville, Ty Wooton, Reid Rector, Garrett Guymon, and Nathan Bynum all had one hit to lead Fulton.
The Chiefs totaled ten hits in the game. Bloomer, Pigg, and Alan Roden all managed multiple hits for the Chiefs. Bloomer went 3-for-5 at the plate.
