The waiting is over as the Murray State Racers try to become another underdog winner on college basketball brackets this afternoon.

MSU, the No. 12 seed in the East Region will take on the West Virginia Mountaineers, the No. 5 seed in a Friday game that will tip around 3 p.m. from Viejas Arena on the campus of San Diego State University. TNT will televise the game.

The Racers arrived in San Diego on Wednesday in advance of their 16th NCAA men's basketball tournament appearance.

Thursday was a big day for the Racers (26-5) when they were able to get on the court for the first time, after Head Coach Matt McMahon met the media for a short press conference.

The team has plenty of momentum from a season that saw them win the Ohio Valley Conference regular season at 16-2 and then the OVC Tournament to gain the conference's automatic bid.
