Murray State Athletics has kicked off its eight-day tour of nine locations featuring special guests including Murray State President Dr. Bob Jackson, Director of Athletics Kevin Saal, mascot Dunker, faculty, staff and MSU students and student-athletes.

The Racer Roadshow will have stops in the University's 18-county service region as well as Owensboro, Louisville and Nashville, and are geared toward Racer supporters, fans, alumni, students and particularly future Racer students who are either part of this fall's incoming class or are interested in attending Murray State. At these events, both admitted and prospective students along with their families are invited to learn more about Murray State and are eligible for prizes and giveaways that include scholarship drawings.

Guests will enjoy appetizers and refreshments at each event as well as conversations and fun with fellow Racer supporters. The first event was Monday at the Mayfield-Graves Country Club, and Thursday the Roadshow makes a stop at Mellow Mushroom in Paducah.

"These events will bring together many fine supporters of Murray State University and introduce future Racers to the tremendous opportunities our students receive through a high-quality, high-impact education and total college experience," Murray State President Dr. Bob Jackson said. "Each of these communities and regions are pivotal in our institution's growth and mission. We are appreciative of many individuals for their support and enthusiasm towards Murray State, and we look forward to a series of exciting events this summer."

"The Racers Roadshow is another example of the incredible momentum and excitement surrounding Murray State University and our region," Murray State Director of Athletics Kevin Saalsaid. "Our Murray State University family is eager to hit the road and engage with Racer Nation this summer!"

The events are free and open to the public; however, an RSVP is requested at murraystate.edu/racersroadshow or by contacting Carol Brunn at 270-809-3023 or cbrunn@muraystate.edu.
