LEXINGTON - University of Kentucky defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Matt House has been named one of the 53 nominees for the 2018 Broyles Award, which honors college football's top assistant coach.

Along with 2016, it is the highest finish for the Wildcats since the league split into divisions in 1992. UK also has at least four SEC wins in three straight seasons for the first time in school history.

Allen is currently leads the SEC and ranks 10th nationally with 14.5 tackles for loss. His 10 quarterback sacks also lead the SEC and rank third nationally. Nine of Allen's 10 sacks have come in the second half, including six in the fourth quarter and three in the third. He also has forced five fumbles, second in the nation, two fumble recoveries and four pass breakups.

A 19-member selection committee of distinguished former head coaches, along with a committee representing the FWAA will select 15 semifinalists and five finalists from the list of nominees and an overall winner.
