Louisville coach Rick Pitino has signed high-scoring former Drexel guard Damion Lee to a Cardinals roster needing to replace four regulars.

Lee ranked fourth nationally in scoring at 21.4 points per game last season including 38 percent from 3-point range for Drexel. Considered one of the nation's top transfer prospects, the 6-foot-6, 200-pounder joins former Cleveland State guard Trey Lewis on a Cardinals team that lost Montrezl Harrell, Terry Rozier, Wayne Blackshear and Chris Jones from last season.

The coach said of Lee on Thursday that, "We needed height and we needed outside shooting."

Pitino also hired Ralph Willard as an assistant and announced an Aug. 10-17 trip to Puerto Rico with games against national teams from there and the Dominican Republic.
