King is Louisville’s first commitment from the 2016 class. Ranked 11th in his class by Rivals, King averaged 18.5 points per game his junior season. His strong play has continued on the AAU circuit with Team Takeover, as he averaged 14.2 points and 5.2 rebounds during EYBL play this spring.

V.J. King, a 6-foot-7 swingman from Paul VI High School in Fairfax, VA, has committed to play basketball at Louisville. The five-star recruit announced his decision through an Instagram post Friday, choosing the Cardinals over Connecticut and Kentucky.
