Badly in need of a win after a seven-game losing streak, Ian Dimitrie Connor Moroder, and Conner Echols led the way as the Dubois County Bombers downed the Paducah Chiefs 10-2 Monday night.

675 fans filed into historic League Stadium and witnessed the Bombers score in four straight innings early in the contest. Aided by wildness on the part of the Chiefs' pitching staff, Dubois County scored two in the second, three in the third, added a run in the fourth, and struck for four more in the fifth to claim a 10-0 lead.

Zack Gray and Connor Echols walked and were driven in by Michael Rodriguez and Ben Balgaard in the second inning. Repeating the script, Gray and Echols walked again in the third. This time, Moroder launched a drive to the center field side of the right field scoreboard for his second home run of the season, stretching the lead to 5-0 after three innings.

In the fourth, Echols walked for the third time in as many innings, forcing in a run in the bases loaded situation. The Bombers final runs were also aided by three walks as four runs scored in the fifth inning, highlighted by an Echols double.

Dimitrie started and pitched seven innings for the Bombers. He scattered six hits, but did not walk a batter, only allowing two baserunners past second base.

The Chiefs managed two runs off of Bomber reliever Fabian Reyes in the eighth, spurred by a Cole Womack double and a triple off the bat of Nathan Williams.

Kevin Forde came out of the Bomber bullpen to pitch the ninth, striking out the side in impressive fashion.

Dimitrie goes to 3-0 on the season. Tanner Smith takes the loss for the Chiefs. His record is now 0-2.

The Bombers close out the first half of the season with a record of 11-10. Paducah falls to 7-15.

Dubois County is back in action at League Stadium tonight, hosting the Muhlenberg County Stallions. First pitch is at 7 PM.

Paducah is at home the next two nights, where they will welcome Fulton tonight followed by Owensboro tomorrow. Chiefs games can be heard on Lifetalk 102.5 or on your Tunein app, and streamed online at lifetalk1025.com.
