Chiefs Suffer 6-1 Loss at Hoptown

HOPKINSVILLE - Hoptown beat Paducah 6-1 Monday night.

The Hoppers fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored one run for Hoptown. The Hoppers scored three more runs in the eighth inning. John Keane and Nick Proto all drove in runs in the frame.

Trey Fortner led Hoptown to victory on the hill. He surrendered one run on four hits over nine innings, striking out 12 and walking none.

Jacob Laws took the loss for the Chiefs. He surrendered three runs on three hits over two innings, striking out two.

Cord Johnson and MJ Rookard each collected multiple hits for Hoptown. Rookard and Johnson each collected two hits.
