Chiefs Split Pair with Miners

MADISONVILLE - The Paducah Chiefs split a Tuesday doubleheader with the Madisonville Miners.

The Chiefs won the first game 9-4. The game was highlighted by a solo home run by John Mitchum. Paducah had 14 hits on the night. Andrew Lannon led the Chiefs at the plate, going 3-for-4. 

Caleb Reinhardt picked up the win. He allowed four runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out five. Nicholas Rathke took the loss for Madisonville. He surrendered nine runs on 12 hits over six innings with two strikeouts.

Madisonville won the second game 9-8 thanks to a walk-off RBI single by Sean Keerny. 

Jefferey O'Doherty was the winning pitcher. He allowed four hits and two runs over two innings, striking out five.

Logan Bowen took the loss for Paducah. He allowed two runs on one hit. JC Goins started the game for the Chiefs. He allowed four runs on seven hits over four innings with five strikeouts.

The Chiefs had 11 hits on the night. Nick Shumaker, Kevin Brenning and John Mitchum all had multiple hits.
