Chiefs Split Doubleheader at Hoptown

HOPKINSVILLE - The Paducah Chiefs split a pair with the Hoptown Hoppers Thursday night in Hopkinsville.

Caleb Reinhardt picked up the win as the Chiefs won the first game 14-4. Reinhardt allowed four runs on six hits over five and a third innings with three strikeouts.

The Chiefs totaled 11 hits in the game. Nick Shumaker, Reid Homan and Peyton Sockwell each had multiple hits.

The Hoppers won the second game 8-1. Blake Jackson had a grand slam in the third inning and a home run in the fifth inning, finishing with 5 RBI.

Stone Selby took the loss for the Chiefs. He lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and five runs, with four strikeouts.
