Paducah defeated Hoptown 8-0 on Wednesday night at Brooks Stadium, as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Caleb Reinhardt pitched the Chiefs to victory. He surrendered no runs on three hits over eight innings, striking out five. Adam Stewart threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Trey Fortner took the loss for the Hoppers. He lasted five innings, allowing 11 hits and seven runs while striking out two and walking one.

Paducah tallied 15 hits for the game. Brandon Kelly, Nick Shumaker, Kevin Brenning, Reid Homan and Andrew Lannon all had multiple hits. Brenning, Shumaker, and Kelly led the way with three hits each.
