David Robins and Darrell Freeman each hit home runs as Madisonville knocked off Paducah 6-4 Thursday night at Brooks Stadium in Paducah.

The Miners (9-10) took a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the 6th inning, but the Chiefs (7-12) hit 3 singles and a double to score two runs, trimming the lead to 5-4. Robins' solo homer in the top of the 7th inning iced the game for Madisonville.

Tate Mathis and Nick Shumaker each had 3 hits for the Chiefs, who lost their third straight game.

The Chiefs travel to Madisonville tonight for a rematch with the Miners. They return to Historic Brooks Stadium Saturday to face Muhlenberg.
