A 6-run sixth inning lifted the Paducah
Chiefs over the Muhlenberg County Stallions 11-2 Thursday night at
Muhlenberg County High School.
Paducah got things moving in the first
inning, when Bryson Bloomer homered on a 1-0 count,
scoring two runs. Muhlenberg County knotted the game up at two in
the bottom of the first inning, when Kody Putnam singled
on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
The Chiefs pulled away for good
with one run in the fifth inning and six more in the sixth. John
Michael Russ, Pierce Mitchum, and Bloomer each had
RBIs in the frame.
Brady Bibb was the winning
pitcher for Paducah. He lasted five innings, allowing six hits
and two runs while striking out three. Braden Mork and Eli
Campbell entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to
close out the game in relief.
Logan King took the loss
for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He allowed four hits and seven
runs over five and a third innings, striking out three.
Muhlenberg County Stallions totaled
seven hits in the game. Reece Puckett and Tad
Marks all collected multiple hits. Puckett went
3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Stallions in hits.
The Chiefs tallied 10
hits. Lofton Pigg, Bloomer, and Braden Durham each
managed multiple hits for Paducah.
The Chiefs (15-13) play Hoptown in
Hopkinsville tonight. First pitch is set for 7:00 pm. You can hear
