Chiefs Fall in 13 Innings 8-6

PADUCAH - Paducah lost the lead late in a 13-inning 8-6 loss to Hoptown Sunday night at Brooks Stadium.

Despite the loss, the Chiefs collected nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Hoptown had 15 hits on the way to victory.

MJ Rookard was credited with the victory for Hoptown. He surrendered no runs on no hits over two innings, walking none.

Logan Bowen took the loss for Paducah. He went six innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out two. Mason Vineyard started the game for the Chiefs. He surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out three.

Keyaunte Jones, Reid Pope, and Nick Shumaker all managed multiple hits for Paducah. Jones went 3-for-6 at the plate.
