The Paducah Chiefs beat the Owensboro Oilers 14-3 in game 2 of their opening round best-of-three series Saturday night in Owensboro. The series is now tied at one game a piece, setting up an elimination game in Paducah Sunday night.

Game 2 started out as a tense back-and-forth affair. The Chiefs jumped out to the lead with two runs in the top of the 1st inning. The Oilers tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning, then briefly led with a run in the bottom of the 3rd inning.

Paducah answered with 2 runs in the top of the 4th inning, and never trailed from that point. The outcome remained in doubt until the Chiefs put together a seven run top of the 7th inning to expand the lead to 11 to 3. Paducah added two more runs in the 8th inning and one more run in the top of the 9th to achieve the 14 to 3 final margin.

All Chiefs home games start at 6:30. Tickets are only five dollars, and chair seats for ten dollars.
