Franklin scored three decisive runs in the fifth inning in an 8-4 victory over the Paducah Chiefs Sunday night.

The game was tied at four in the bottom of the fifth when Jordan Blick homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

The Duelers opened up scoring in the first inning, when John Benevolent homered on a 0-2 count, scoring three runs.

Mickey Foytik was credited with the victory for Franklin. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out six.

Braden Mork took the loss for Paducah. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out two.

Gabe East started the game for the Chiefs. He lasted four innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out five David Hall started the game for the Duelers. He lasted three innings, allowing five hits and four runs while striking out five

Franklin collected eight hits on the day. Joey Fletcher and Benevolent each collected two hits. 

John Michael Russ led Paducah with two hits in three at bats.

The Chiefs (16-16) play at Owensboro Tuesday night. First pitch is set for 7:00 pm. You can hear the Chiefs all season on 99.5 The Fan.
