Two Kentucky men's basketball players – Jonny David and Dillon Pulliam – were honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches for outstanding academic achievements following the 2017-18 season.

The NABC recognizes students who are juniors or seniors and those players must possess a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.

Pulliam graduated in May with bachelor's degrees in computer engineering and computer science and a minor in mathematics. He announced in April that he will forgo his final season of eligibility at Kentucky to pursue a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon. Pulliam graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was a 2018 Phi Kappa Phi National Fellowship winner presented annually to 50 individuals entering their first year of graduate or professional study. He was a three-time honoree by the Southeastern Conference Academic Team and was named to the SEC Community Service team in March.

David is entering his senior season with the Wildcats. He is a three-time member of the SEC Academic Team and is slated to graduate in May of 2019 with a degree in kinesiology. David owns a 3.566 GPA and was selected to the Dean's List in both the fall and spring semesters in 2017-18.

Both players have been a part of two SEC regular-season titles and three SEC Tournament championships.
