A traffic stop early Wednesday led to a methamphetamine arrest.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, deputies stopped a car for traffic violations on Husband Road around 2 am. During the traffic stop, police said the driver, 22-year-old Michael Draffen of Paducah, admitted that he was in possession of a marijuana pipe.

Deputies conducted a search of Draffen and his car and found marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Draffen is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
