Saturday's Paducah Lions Club Telethon of Stars concert is bringing some big-name country stars to the Carson Center.

The telethon, which happens in November, is in its 62nd year, but in recent years the event has changed from an all-night format to a shorter length, and the celebration concert is an added fundraiser.

Lions Club Telethon Chair Liz Mason said, "There have been some growing pains as we kind of eased out of the all-night format. That format is not feasible any more, with all of the competition on television and donations were down in that overnight hour. So, we've re-vamped the idea of the telethon, but kept the core and the heart of it, which is raising money for children and adults with special needs."

Wynonna and The Big Noise will headline Saturday's concert, with country star Collin Raye and Craig Wayne Boyd, who won Season 7 of NBC's "The Voice," as special guests.

Mason said tickets are on sale now at, and range from $15 - $35 each. Tickets may also be purchased over the phone at 270-450-4444 or at the door.

The 62nd Telethon of Stars will air on WPSD on November 17-18. This year, along with the open phone lines, a texting option and online donations, there will be a donation drop off site and a live watch party.

Money raised this year will be divided between three organizations; TLC of Southern IL, Easter Seals West Kentucky, and the UT-Martin Infant Stimulation Program.
