Wells Heath III, 69, of Paducah, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home.
Wells was born in Paducah on November 7, 1948. He was a 1966 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, 1968 graduate of Paducah Junior College, and 1970 graduate of Western Kentucky University. Wells served in the United States Navy Reserves during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Guam. He was a lifelong member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church, where he served as church treasurer for many years as well as on various boards and committees. Wells enjoyed a long career as a financial advisor for Raymond James Financial Services. He loved hiking and playing sports, particularly golf, baseball, and tennis. He also faithfully followed UK basketball, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and would always cheer for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Malissa Wilkins Heath; children, Allison Heath (Ryan) Russell of Midway, KY and Jeffrey Wells (Shanna) Heath of Danville, KY; grandchildren, Carter, Dylan, and Eli Russell and Abigail, Miriam, and Owen Heath; sisters, Dede (John) Culp of Georgetown, KY and Rebecca (Kelley) Cromwell of Benton, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wells Heath Jr. & Doris Morgan Heath.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am Friday, September 28, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah. Revs. Jamie Broome, Gregory Waldrop, and Eddie Smith will officiate.
Memorial visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church, 300 Fountain Avenue, Paducah, KY 42001.
