Virginia Merle VeuCasovic Hailey, 93, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Paducah, KY, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Avante Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg FL.
Virginia was born in Lowes, KY on October 24, 1924 to Ray and Christine Thomasson VeuCasovic. She retired from a teaching career after having taught at both Lowes High School in Lowes, KY and Lone Oak Middle School in Lone Oak, KY. She was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and an active member in the Lone Oak Woman's Club for many years.
Surviving are her son, Robert Stephen Hailey and wife Jana of Tavares, Florida; grandson, Eric Hailey of Davenport, FL; niece and nephew Linda Rae VeuCasovic Ramage and Chad VeuCasovic respectively both of Mayfield, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hilton Hailey; son, Keith Allen Hailey; brother, Ray VeuCasovic, Jr.; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Martin officiating.
