Mrs. Traci Smith Dodson, age 53 of Calvert City, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
Born Saturday, January 23, 1965 in Paducah, KY, she was a member of Calvert City United Methodist Church. After graduating from Murray State, Traci taught kindergarten at both Sharpe and Benton Elementary. During the last years of her teaching career, she served as Gifted-Talented Coordinator for Elementary Schools in Marshall County.
Mrs. Dodson is survived be her husband Darren Dodson of Calvert City, KY, sons, Zachary Dodson of St. Louis, MO and Dylan Dodson of Benton, KY and her mother, Margie (Cissell) Smith of Paducah, KY.
Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by her father, L. Dwain Smith who also succumbed to complications of Muscular Dystrophy.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Gregory Waldrop officiating.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
