Susan Dianne Harris-Dawson age 73 of Paducah, after and illness departed this life to her earthly home and was welcomed into heaven’s eternal gates on Tuesday, September 17, 2019.
She was born of Willie Roosevelt Harris and Central Virginia Boyd Harris, who later preceded her death along with six sisters, Rosa Jones, Margie Tolbert, Laura Watkins, Violet Musgrow, Carolyn white, Bertha Jones and three brothers, Willie (Sonny) Harris, Ernest Harris and Paul Harris.
She was a member of The Holiness Church of God where she accepted Christ at an early age and was very active in her church and family events.
She enjoyed working with family, cooking, creating ceramic artwork. Susan had a giving heart, she enjoyed life, traveling, was avid for collecting coffee and drink mugs, ink pens and stuffed animals.
Susan moved to Florida to continue working with a special family from Kentucky. While in Florida she met and married Carlton Anthony Dawson of Port St. Lucie, Florida. After some years she retired and relocated back to Paducah, KY.
Susan was blessed with two wonderful sons Gary DeWayne(Constance) Harris of Paducah and Jimmy Lee (Sheila) Harris of Grovetown, GA; five grandchildren; Marcus Harris and Tarrance Harris both of Paducah, Chante’va Harris, Savannah, GA, Shanese (Kenterrius) Jefferson, Laurel, MD and Talitha Harris of Grovetown,GA, four great-grandchildren; Erica Harris, Wingo, KY, Arya Harris, Paducah, Kennedi Jefferson, Laurel, MD, and Zuri Richardson of Savannah, GA, one sister-in-law; Evelyn Harris, Elyria, OH, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
We will always remember and cherish the precious memory of her Sweet and Gentle Spirit!
She will truly be missed physically but never spiritually.
