Steve Wright, age 59, of Paducah passed away at 3:30 PM Monday, January 16, 2017 at his residence.
He was manager of the Walmart Southside Pharmacy for 16 years and a graduate of Mercer University School of Pharmacy. He graduated as Valedictorian of Heath High School in 1975. He was a member of Spring Bayou Baptist Church. Steve was a co-founder and coach of both the girls and boys Storm Soccer Teams. He was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats, the St. Louis Cardinals and the New England Patriots and a car enthusiast.
Steve was a loving husband and father who cherished the family vacations they took together every year. One of his greatest joys was being “Poppy” to his grandchildren, Hudson and Finley.
Steve Wright is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gay Lynn Watson Wright; one daughter, Shea Lynn Hynick and husband, Brandon of Franklin, TN; two sons, Austin Wright and wife, Farrah of Atlanta, GA and Aaron Wright of Istanbul, Turkey. He is survived by two grandchildren, Hudson and Finley Ann Hynick of Franklin, TN; and two sisters, Marshelia Davis and husband, Ricky of Burna, KY and Deineise Burgess and husband, Ricky of West Paducah; two brothers, Greg Wright and wife, Trina of Paducah and Dwane Wright and wife, Dana of Kevil and several nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Peggy Ann Riley Wright.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. Jim Glover officiating with burial in Spring Bayou Baptist Church Cemetery in Kevil.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
