Shirley was born in Marion Kentucky on March 31, 1942 to Paul and Estelle Belt. She graduated from Crittenden County High School. She retired after 31 years as an Executive Secretary with the Kentucky Department of Transportation. She was a woman with strong faith and a longtime member of Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, MeMe, sister and friend.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by her daughters, Mechelle Jones (Darrell), of Smithland, Kentucky, Melanie Poole (Mark), of La Center, Kentucky; her sister, Dorsie Lampley, of Paducah; her grandchildren, Weston Jones (fiancée, Courtney Duncan) and Danielle Poole.
Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Larry Fowler; her parents, Rev. Paul O. Belt and Estelle Thurman Belt; her brother, Donnie Belt.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Tim Threatt officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebower Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
