Scott Edward Grimes, 39, of Paducah, died on Thanksgiving, November 26, 2015 at his home.
Scott was born in Paducah on September 2, 1976. He was a 1995 graduate of Lone Oak High School where he played baseball. He was an avid sports fan and deer hunter and was employed out of Boilermakers Local 40.
Scott loved his family dearly and is survived by his dad, William Edward “Bill Ed” Grimes; mother, Dale Elizabeth “Liz” Bardin Smith; sister, Amy Louise Grimes Geise and husband Luke of Nashville, TN; and nephews, Carter and Benjamin Geise and niece, Molly Geise. Scott had a big heart and never met a stranger. He leaves behind many friends and co-workers who were very important to him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Verlie Moore Grimes, Irving M. “Blue” Bardin, and Amber L. Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel C.P. Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, November 30, 2015, from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
