Ronnie Shelton

Mr. Ronnie Shelton, 76, of Graves County, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

Mr. Shelton was born on January 26, 1942 in Murray to the late James and Reva Farless Shelton. He graduated in the Murray High School class of 1960, attended Murray State and graduated KY School of Mortuary Science. Ronnie retired from Vanderbilt Chemical after 32 years and was also a licensed funeral director and embalmer. 

Those preceding him in death include his wife, Faye Shelton; grandparents, J.W. and Frances Churchill Shelton; step grandmother and Cora Jones Shelton, in addition to his parents. 

Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Jeff Shelton (Becky) of Lexington; a daughter, Mitzi Kelly (Brian) of Edmond, OK; three brothers, Fred Shelton of Murray, Tim Shelton of Murray, James H. Shelton, Jr. (Shirley) of Mayfield; a sister, Jenny Therrien of Mayfield and seven grandchildren, Ethan, Zach, Emily, Brice, Bishop, Brooks and Brady.

The funeral service is set for 11 AM on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Northside Baptist Church, 611 W. Lockridge Street, Mayfield.  Al Chandler will officiate and burial will follow at North Mt. Zion Cemetery in Graves County.  His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family of Mr. Shelton will receive visitors from 10 AM until the funeral hour at the church.
