Roger Irvan Poole

Roger Irvan Poole, age 85, of Hermitage, Tennessee, formerly of Wickliffe, Kentucky, passed away at Tristar Hermitage Summit Medical Center in Hermitage,Tennessee on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

He was a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War, and later worked as a construction contractor.  He was also of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Ruth Ann Poole of Clinton; his son, Michael Poole and wife, Lea Ann of Spring City, Tennessee; sisters, Halley O’Conner of Wickliffe and Janice Purcell of Lawton, Oklahoma; brothers, Willard Poole of Wickliffe, Clarence Poole of Wickliffe, Gene Poole of South Fulton, and Danny Poole of LaCenter; grandchildren, Ashley Whisneant, Sarah Hall, Caitlin Moore, Rachel Lampley; great-grandchildren, Jaden Whisneant, Grace Whisneant, Michael Whisneant, Elizabeth Whisneant, Reagan Moore, Gavin Moore, Andrew Lampley, Abigail Lampley, and Alexander Lampley, companion of twenty years, Jolene Wright.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Frank Poole and David Poole; two brothers, Garnett Poole and Carlos Poole. His parents, George and Bertha Alcock Poole.

Services for Mr. Poole will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with 1st Lieutenant Jonathan Lampley, USAF, Chaplin officiating.  Burial will follow in Wickliffe City Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
