Robert P. Ray, 68, of Paducah, formerly of Union City, TN, passed away at 9:15 am on Saturday July 20, 2019 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Robert retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 30 years. He loved golfing, yard work, and listening to and collecting old country records.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Nancy Abell Ray; mother, Joyce Hughes Ray Canter; two daughters, Mary Ellen Ray Moore and husband, Mike of Union City, TN, Melissa Ray Steele of Union City, TN; step son, Vance Shore of Paducah, KY; brother, Ronnie Ray; and three grandchildren, Joshua Moore, Kinley Steele, and Gavin Shore.
He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Ray; and step father, Joe Canter.
A graveside service for Robert will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Troy, TN with Rev. John Lowrance officiating. Visitation for Robert will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
