Robert E. Hayes, 77, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 5:54 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO.
Robert was a retired salesman in pharmaceutical sales with Norwich-Eaton Pharmaceuticals and Procter & Gamble. He was a long time member of Broadway United Methodist Church where he was Chairman with the Pastor Parish Committee and served on the Finance and Church Council Committees. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Masonic Lodge #449 and American Legion Post #0200. Robert enjoyed boating and being on Kentucky Lake. He was an avid Kentucky Basketball fan and listened to most of their games and enjoyed being a St. Louis Baseball fan.
Robert is survived by his wife of 56 ½ years, Judy Marietta Shult Hayes; a daughter, Michelle Hayes of Goodlettsville, TN; son, Brett Hayes and wife Rebecca of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Calvin Cranor, Hayes Cranor, Brittany Hayes and Brooke Hayes; great granddaughter, Chloe Cranor; sister-in-law, Glenda Hayes of Troy, IL; four nephews, Eric Hayes of Belleville, IL, Tim Hayes, Des Moines, IA, Todd Hayes, Edwardsville, IL and Kent Hayes of Troy, IL.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George W. Hayes. His parents were George Louis Hayes and Helen Isabelle Wallace Hayes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. Lora Jean Gowan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral of Paducah.
