Reverend Keith Cortez Walters, age 60, of Paducah, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2016, 8:08 a.m., at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.

 Reverend Walters was a member an associate minister at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church.  He had served as Sunday School superintendent and Minister of Music.

 Reverend Walters, a retired U.S. Navy Veteran, was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and attended Kentucky State University.   He also was formerly employed by the Tennessee Valley Authority.  He had also attended the San Diego School of Music in San Diego, California.

 Reverend Walters was past president of the W.C. Young Community Center Board of Directors, a member of Agape Chorale in San Diego, CA and founder and CEO of K.C. Productions.  He utilized his talent in music by singing and directing local choirs including the Golden Echoes, Emancipation Mass Choir and the Inspirational Voices of Paducah which he recorded an album in Nashville, TN.

 He is survived by his wife, Rozita Walters of Lexington, KY, one daughter, Ke-Neshia (Minister George)Walters Donelson, two grandchildren, Keith Donelson and Kysaac Walters, his mother, Susie M. Fortune, one sister, Renee Walters, one nephew, James Walters, all of Paducah, two sisters, Libbie (John) Burden and Beryl (Mathis) Terry, both of New York; God-Sisters and Brothers, Leslie Lester of Chicago, IL, Diane (Quentin) Bailey, Mary Pettus Rowland, and Reverend Raynarldo (Sherri) Henderson, all of Paducah, Dr. Rose (Larry) Buchanan and Glenn Jones, both of San Diego, CA, several cousins and many friends.

 A Service of Celebration and Musical Tribute In Loving Memory and Honor of Reverend Keith C. Walters will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, 5:00 p.m., at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church.  Reverend Raynarldo Henderson will officiate.  Burial will be held at a later date in the Mounds City National Cemetery located in Mounds City, Illinois.

 Friends may call at the Washington Street Baptist Church on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
