Rene Smith Babb, age 63, of Hickory, KY passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Mrs. Babb was born in Mobile, AL on April 22, 1957 to the late Billy Hampton, Sr. and Sara May Davis. She worked as a dish washer for over 20 years at Fran’s Café.
Rene loved to fish, she enjoyed being with her family and friends, and spending time writing and playing games on her computer. She was a member of Free Spirit Biker Church.
Rene is survived by her husband, Matthew Babb; her daughter, Kristina Smith (Marcus Young) of Sandoval, IL; her son, Jeffrie Smith of Mayfield; five sisters, Judith Holmes of Kentucky, Linda Hampton of Pennsylvania, Janice Martz of Missouri, Annamarie Coggins of Illinois, and Katie Summers; four brothers, Charlie Roy Hampton of Illinois, Billy Hampton (Tina) of Tampa, FL, Keith Hampton (April) of Florida, and Leslie Martz of Illinois; and two grandchildren, Damion “Day Day” King and Jeffrey King.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Thomas Davis, Robbie Hampton (Ronnie); one niece whom she helped raised, Melissa C. Vaught; her special friend, Terry Summers; and twin grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Dennis Lawrence officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 2:00 pm service time on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
