Rease S. Andrews, 86, of West Paducah, passed away at 7:36 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2018, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Rease was born in Paducah to Samuel and Delia Andrews on November 16, 1932. He served his country in the U.S. Army as part of the Tenth Mountain Division in Bayreuth, Germany and was a member of Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He retired from Westvaco Corporation after 25 years as a multi-craft mechanic and as a supervisor. He enjoyed working outdoors in his yard and garden, and had a special talent and ability to “fix anything ”. He will be remembered for the great love he had for his family, and will be missed by all, including his dog Lucy.
Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patsy Trail Andrews; his daughter, Patricia Gayle Harris (Leslie), of Paducah; his sons, Herbert Rease Andrews (Joyce), of Paducah, Phillip Andrews, of Ferdinand, Indiana, Shannan Andrews (Sheri), of Paducah; his brother, J B Andrews (Shirley), of Georgia; his grandchildren, Jason Rease Andrews (Adrienne), John Tyler Harris, Brittany Scordo (Katie), Lori Gayle Harris-Greene (Brett), Harley B. Andrews; his great granddaughter, Evalynn Charlotte Andrews.
Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Walter Andrews and Delia Jane Brooks Andrews; three sisters; seven brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Doug Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the funeral home.
