Rachelle “Shellie” White went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 4, 2019, surrounded by her entire family.
Shellie was a long time community member of Lone Oak, an active member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and member of Faith Sunday School class. For generations, Shellie and husband, Carl, supported McCracken County schools for their children, grandchildren, and others. They never missed ballgames, cheerleading competitions, band competitions, booster meetings or fundraisers. She was loved and a friend to many. Shellie was born January 22, 1944 to the late Russell and Agnes (Browning) Figg in Sullivan, Indiana. She married Carl White on March 16, 1963 and have been married for 56 years.
Shellie is survived by her husband, Carl, and their four children; Carla Simpson (Jamie) of Naples, Florida, Cristi Mathews-Wilson (Andrew) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Cary White of Lone Oak and Craig White (Stephanie) of Louisville, Kentucky; seven granddaughters, Kelly Giraudo (Jon Ross), Megan Hall (Chris), Tera Loague (Brandon), Carly Mathews, Lindsey Mathews, Morgan White and Shelby White; four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Jones Giraudo, Reece and Kinley Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Doris Irene Mitchell; two brothers, Gene Figg and Bobby Joe Figg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Lone Oak First Baptist Church with Dr. Willis Henson and Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service time on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Lone Oak First Baptist Church.
