Prentice “Mac” McKnight, 96, of Paducah passed away at 10:28 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his residence. Mac was a 20 year member of Broadway United Methodist Church and a 53 year member of the First United Methodist Church in Dyer, TN. He was retired from Dyer Box Manufacturing Company. He enjoyed woodworking and was truly a man that loved his family.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Mamie Wood McKnight; two daughters, Dot M. (Bill) Bruce of Paducah; Bettye M. (Gene) Young of Knoxville, TN; one son, Bob (Brenda) McKnight of Lander, WY; seven grandchildren, Carrie Bruce Warren, Will (Anne) Bruce, Rick (Angie) Young, Leigh (Michael) Hawkins, Ross (Jill) McKnight, Ember (Mike) Figgins, Steve (Mary) McKnight and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death were his parents, Jimmie Donald McKnight & Chloe Roberson McKnight and one brother, LeFane McKnight.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Broadway United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at noon. Rev. Lora Jean Gowan and Rev. Joe Beal will officiate. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer, TN with Rev. Jim Calhoun officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request expressions of sympathy may be made to Broadway United Methodist Church, 7th & Broadway, Paducah, KY 42001.
