Murrell Lyell Wallace, 95, of Paducah passed away at 5:30 pm on Monday, August 31, 2015 at her residence.
She was a member of Central Church of Christ. Murrell retired after 31 years as Manager in food service with Paducah Tilghman High School, was a member of the National Food Service Association and The Retired Breakfast Club. She was named a Duchess of Paducah.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jean Sutton and husband, Dale of Paducah; son, Jim Wallace of Paducah; two grandchildren, James Daryl Wallace and wife Elaine of LaGrange, KY, Dale Sutton Jr. and wife, Angie of Paducah; ten great grandchildren, Matthew Wallace, Christina Wallace, Trevor Horn, Rebecca Wallace, Ryan Johnson, Lakin Greene, Ashley Wallace, Jacob Wallace, Brooke Sutton, Bailey Sutton; and several nieces and nephews; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Wallace; her parents, John R. Lyell, and Gertrude Boswell Lyell; two sisters, Willie B. Willoughby and Lottie Heller; two brothers, Jack Lyell and Galon Lyell; two grandchildren, Tonya Renee Greene and Robert Lynn Wallace; and a dear friend, Louise Joiner.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wallace will be 1:00 pm on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Mr. Jim Faughn officiating. Burial will follow at Pottsville Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Wallace will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
