Molene Burkeen, 90, of Murray died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Spring Creek Health Care.
Born July 31, 1923 in Murray, Kentucky, Mrs. Burkeen was a lifetime member at Independence United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Freemon and Eitta Peeler; her husband, Galon E. Burkeen; son, Thomas Dwayne Burkeen; daughter, Barbara Ann Travis; two brothers, Kelzie Peeler and Almo Dell Peeler.
Mrs. Burkeen is survived by a brother, Lamon Charles Peeler of Paducah; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Imes Funeral Home, downtown Murray. Rev. Kendrick Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow at the Jeffrey Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors between 5-8 PM on Sunday, July 27 at the funeral home.
