Mary Elizabeth Lee, age 93, , of Paducah, KY passed away at 4:42 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Southgate Nursing & Rehab Center in Metropolis. ILL. Mary attended the former Margaret Hank Memorial Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Paducah. Mary was a native of Graves County, growing up in the Boaz and Hardmoney community and attended the meeting of the Hardmoney group as long as she was able. She was an excellent seamtress, and was known for her famous ‘Sugar Cookies.” Mary was always glad to see her children but her first question was , Do you have any of the little ones with you? Mary loved daunting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was retired co/ owner of Lee’s Insurance Agency.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Lee Tolar and husband, Stewart and Beverly Lee Meeks and husband, Rick both of Paducah; three sons, William Gary Lee and wife, Sandy of Mayfield, KY, Ronnie Dale Lee of Evansville, IN and Maxie Phillip Lee of Kuttawa, KY; one sister-in-law, Thelma McIntosh of Paducah; nine grandchildren, April Lee (Brent) Tilford, Lee Tolar (Mike) Meals, Blair (Rheanel) Tolar, Jennifer Lee, Natalie Meeks (John) Ballert, Ashley Lee (Nathaniel) Bazzell, Landen (Van) Meeks, Jillian Meeks (James) Nyquist and Elizabeth Lee (Ryan) Mohr; 20 great-grandchildren; several neices and nephews.
Preceding in death was her husband, William Hershell Lee; parents, Jesse Lee McIntosh & Laura Hazel Rutherford McIntosh; one infant son, Teddy Louis Lee; one brother, Jesse Charles McIntosh.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Milner & Funeral Home of Paducah with Stewart Tolar officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 10:00 until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
