Marilyn Pearson McChristian, 70, of Arlington, KY, passed away at 9:54 am on January 9, 2018 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Marilyn was born to Aubert and Catherine Vance Pearson on September 23, 1947 in Carlisle County, KY.
Marilyn was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She was the proud owner and manager of Pearson’s Cafe and Pool Room where she had been going since she was five years old. Marilyn was the co-coordinator of the” Christmas for Kids” fundraiser and was actively involved in the community. She was the Carlisle County Deputy Sheriff for 12 years, worked at Garan’s Clothing Manufacturing and as a florist.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Steve McChristian; one son, Tommy Clark and wife Donna of Cunningham, KY; two daughters, Johnna Martin and husband Davey of Arlington, KY, Stephanie Caldwell and husband Devon of West Paducah, KY; five grandchildren, Marlena, Kennedy, Karly, Alaunah, and Easton; one great-grandchild, Cillicia; two sisters, Freda Duncan of Arlington, KY and Nancy Black of Bardwell, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ginger Pearson and Penny Pearson.
Services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rev. Ricky Miller and Rev. Richard McCarver officiating. Burial will follow the service at Arlington Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington from 5 pm until 8 pm.
