Linda Lou (Wallis) DeLoriea, 83, of Paducah, KY passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019.
Linda was born on April 6, 1936 to the late Russell and Cassie (Strong) Wallis. She was a devoted nurse at Lourdes Hospital for 25 years and served patients with warmth and compassion. She had a deep love for the Lord, Jesus Christ and her family. She was a faithful member of Heartland Church and an active member of their community events. She loved to sing, travel to Florida, and drink sweet tea. Her family would say she made some of the best fried chicken and cherry cobbler around.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Renee DeLoriea-Allison; her son Michael DeLoriea; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Mafalda Mason, Arietta Webber, Marie Thompson, and Norma Sue Dowdy; and three brothers, Terry Wallis, Zolon Wallis, and Leo Pryor Wallis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Bobby Strong officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
