Linda Craycroft Jones passed from this earth at 12:50 AM on August 25, 2016. Born September 7, 1941, she died at Baptist Health Paducah within two weeks of her 75th birthday. She was born in Dunmor, Muhlenberg County, KY. She retired from the Trust Department of Farmers Bank in Frankfort, KY in 1997, where she had worked for 27 years. Subsequently she moved to Paducah, KY and became office manager for Purchase Dermatology and ENT where she worked for over 10 years before retiring again in 2010. She was a member of the 32nd St Church of Christ.
Affectionately known to her grandchildren and many others as Big Mama, she is survived by her husband William L. Jones, a retired KY State Police Officer. She is also survived by two children, and five grandchildren; son, Dr. Shawn C. Jones and wife Dr. Evelyn Jones of Paducah and daughter, Beth Smith and husband Loren Smith of Louisville; grandchildren Rebecca Jones, Shawn Curtis Jones, Jr., Caleb Jones, Jackson Flora and Addie Flora as well as step-grandchildren Tyler Smith and Taylor Smith . She is survived by one brother, Lyle Curtis Craycroft of Versailles, KY and a niece, Kim Craycroft Walters and her husband Major General Robert P. Walters, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Olean Craycroft.
Visitation will be at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, 120 Memorial Drive, Paducah KY Saturday September 3rd from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM with Ron Griffin officiating.
