Levon Ellegood Vowell, 81 of Paducah, KY peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:16 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Center. Levon was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother and had many friends. She formerly worked at Biggs Supermarket and Executive Inn.
She is survived by two daughters, Kay (Michael) Copeland of Paducah, KY and Brenda (Billy) Riley of Boaz, KY; two grandchildren, Jason Riley and Derrik (Darla) Riley both of Paducah, KY; one great-grandson, Jordan Riley; two sisters, Juanita Hayes of Paducah, KY and Norma (Ross) Horst of Palm Springs, CA; two brothers, Jerry (Marie) Ellegood and Larry (Charlotte) Ellegood both of Paducah, KY; step-daughter, Gale Pritchett and her son Daniel Farmer of Paducah, KY; step-son Scotty Vowell of Brookport, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Emmett S. Vowell; parents, Leonard W. Ellegood & Ona Ivorine Moren Ellegood; two brothers, Richard Ellegood and Eddie Ellegood.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 12:00 p.m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Hiome and Cremation Services.
