Leona Marie Treece, 96, of Paducah passed away on Friday July 19, 2019 at Baptist Health in Paducah. She is survived by a son, Randy Treece (Devonda), of Paducah, Kentucky; a daughter, Kimberley Collins, of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Fayelda Webb, of Nixa, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Lois Treece, of Dupo, Illinois; ten grandchildren: Melissa Treece, Kelly Treece, Kristi Zinn, Allen Treece, Kolby Collins (Brian), Natalie Treece, Elliot Treece (Stacey), Tifanie Treece, and Savanah Whittaker (Ross); and six great-grandchildren: Ava Zinn, Abby Zinn, Raven Sharpe, Ivy Sharpe, Liesl Rokobauer, and Silas Sharpe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Edith Kelley; her husband, Franklin William Treece; two sons: Gary Treece and Larry Treece; one grandson, Kenny Treece; one sister, Annabelle Dorrough; and one brother, Laverne Kelley.
Leona formerly worked at the Egyptian Trails restaurant in Metropolis, Illinois with her longtime friends Paul and Lydia Corzine. She was an avid follower of the St. Louis Cardinals and University of Kentucky Basketball. She was also a member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church for sixty-three years.
A memorial service will be held on Monday July 22, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home located on Alben Barkley Drive in Paducah. Following the memorial service, a private, graveside service for the family will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Dongola, Illinois. Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the memorial service.
